Allison Adams is a registered acupuncturist with a deep passion for supporting women’s health.
Her journey into acupuncture began with her own personal experience, seeking acupuncture
for pain during pregnancy and then labour induction when her daughter was 17 days past due.
The profound impact acupuncture had on her mind and body, inspired Allison to study
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and dedicate herself to helping other women navigate their
health with natural, holistic care.
Allison believes the true medicine behind acupuncture is its ability to balance the nervous
system and thus allow the body and mind to rest, relax and heal. She approaches each
treatment with the intent of lowering patients’ stress and thus creating an optimal environment
for hormonal balance, improved circulation and overall health.
For those who want to look as good as they feel, Allison combines aesthetic acupuncture with
modern modalities like red light therapy and microcurrent to revitalize the skin and help reduce
signs of aging.
When Allison’s not practicing acupuncture she enjoys walks with her dog down by the lake,
exercising, traveling and good food. She is the mother of two accomplished adult children, a dog
and a cat!

I received my four-year post-graduate Doctor of Naturopathy degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Here I completed a twelve-month clinical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic, and Sherbourne Health Naturopathic Clinic. Prior to this, I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, and a minor in Psychology. Throughout my academic and personal health journey, my passion for wellness further developed through working as a fitness instructor, facilitating research, and volunteering at several clinics and related organizations.
I strive to provide inclusive and evidence-informed care through a holistic approach, empowering my patients to take control of their health! I approach each patient individually, addressing the underlying cause of symptoms to put together every piece of the puzzle. With a focus on the mind-body connection and education, I seek to deliver the highest quality care for my patients, leaving them feeling heard, supported, and on their way to being the best version of themselves!
My special interests include hormonal health, mental health, brain health/neurocognitive concerns; and I’m certified in cosmetic acupuncture.
My happy place is by the water so it’s no surprise that when I’m not seeing patients, I love being outdoors (hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, kayaking - you name it!) and travelling. I’m also a huge foodie and I love to try new recipes, so feel free to share your favourite recipes with me!
I’m registered and board-certified with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), and a professional member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND, CAND).
